A woman is dead after she was hit by a vehicle at the Sherwood Park Mall on Thursday afternoon. At 2:30 p.m., RCMP were called to the mall parking lot after a report of a pedestrian being hit. Life-saving efforts were done on the woman at the scene by people in the parking lot and EMS, but the 60-year-old succumbed to her injuries. According to RCMP, a vehicle got caught on a median and, while trying to get unstuck, pressed the accelerator “too forcefully” and hit the woman.
