Edmonton police are investigating after the body of a woman was found inside a home that caught fire Monday morning.

Police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found inside a central Edmonton home that caught fire Monday morning.

Crews responded to a fire at a home in the area of 93 Street and 105 Avenue around 5:30 a.m. where they found a dead woman inside.

Edmonton police’s homicide section is now investigating the death and an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
