Poet Kathleen Norris once said, “Peace — that was the other name for home,” and with homes like this, peace comes naturally. In August, CTV News Edmonton looked at some of the most expensive homes in Parkland County. Four of those listings, including the one with a private lake, are still up. Last month, we completed the circle around Edmonton with Parkland County, now it’s time to return whence we came, back to Alberta’s capital. In August, 2,711 residential properties were listed in Edmonton and 1,647 were sold, according to the Realtors Association of Edmonton (RAE). The average sale price for a residential property, which includes detached, semi-detached, row/townhouse and apartment condominium homes was $428,619. This was down from $432,269 in July but up from $404,100 in August 2024. “As school starts up again and life gets busier, the buyers and sellers that are left in the market will have to change up their tactics a bit,” said RAE board chair Darlene Reid in the monthly statistics report. “Sellers will have to make sure they’re priced right and showing their best, while buyers will be able to negotiate with motivated sellers.” Now, here are some of the most expensive homes for sale in Edmonton, according to realtor.ca. 5 - $3.6M home in Windermere Starting in southwest Edmonton is this 6,065-square-foot home in Windermere.
