Edmonton police arrested three people after what they call two “brazen thefts” of luxury vehicles. On Wednesday, July 2 around 3 p.m., police say a man went to a Lexus dealership and asked to test drive a Lexus RX350 and eventually drove off with the vehicle. The SUV couldn’t be tracked. The next day around 3:15 p.m., police were called after someone test driving a Lexus RX 500 stopped and ordered the sales person to get out of the vehicle before driving away. EPS teams and Lexus were able to track the second vehicle. On July 4, police executed a search warrant and seized supplies used for stealing and re-vining vehicles, recovered the two stolen SUVs and arrested three people. “Getting this criminal operation off the street is a big win for EPS, and local dealerships,” police said in a news release.
