One person is dead after a house fire in southwest Edmonton on Thursday afternoon. Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) said they received reports of a fire at a single-family home near 207 Street and 25 Avenue before 3 p.m. on Thursday. Fire crews arrived at 2:57 p.m. and the fire was declared out at 3:50 p.m. EFRS say one person was confirmed dead at the location. The Edmonton Police Service said the death was non-criminal. There is no word on the cause of the fire at the time of this article.
