Activists hung up a framed photo of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct.

A recent photo of Britain’s former Prince Andrew, who now goes by the surname Mountbatten-Windsor, was briefly hung in Paris’ Louvre Museum on Sunday by activists.

The image, taken by a Reuters photographer last Thursday, shows Mountbatten-Windsor in the backseat of a vehicle on his way home from a U.K. police station after he was arrested and held for roughly 11 hours on suspicion of misconduct.

The arrest was the latest development in a yearslong saga connecting Mountbatten-Windsor to Jeffrey Epstein, the infamous convicted sex criminal who died in a U.S. prison in 2019.

“They say ‘hang it in the Louvre.’ So we did,” wrote anti-billionaire activist group “Everyone Hates Elon” in an Instagram post showing the framed image hanging in the world’s most famous museum.

In the post, a member of the group can be seen walking in the museum, where they affix the photo to a wall, accompanied by a caption that says: “He’s Sweating Now,” referencing claims Mountbatten-Windsor made in the past that he’s incapable of sweating due to a medical condition.

The image remained on display for around an hour before being taken down, the group said according to reporting from ITV News.

“We’re sick of obscenely rich, powerful men thinking they can just do as they please,” the group wrote in a subsequent Instagram post.

“So when he was arrested, we wanted to show ex-prince Andrew how the world will remember him … by hanging his arrest photo in the Louvre.”

The stunt came amid the ongoing fallout from the release of the so-called “Epstein files” – millions of documents related to investigations into the infamous financier and sex offender who over decades developed relationships with some of the world’s most influential people.

Mountbatten-Windsor is suspected of allegedly sending sensitive information to Epstein when the former member of the Royal Family was a special British envoy for international trade.

At least eight U.K. police forces have said they are looking into issues raised by the documents, according to The Associated Press.
