A woman is in hospital after she was struck by a Lamborghini at a Vancouver bike race.

Organizers of the Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix said that the woman was an official at the event. The super car struck the woman at the end of the women’s cycle race, while a crowd of hundreds of people watched.

The force of the collision was so strong that the pace car lost its side mirror during the crash. But luckily, officials said the woman sustained only minor injuries.

The Grand Prix is an annual, professional criterium-style road race held in Gastown, Vancouver. This year’s event was the 40th edition of the race.
