After so-called 'Freedom Convoy' protesters occupied the streets of Ottawa for three weeks, police mounted a large-scale enforcement operation on Friday. The protests sparked anger and frustration among Ottawa residents and businesses have closed as parts of the nation’s capital were seized by the occupation. Elsewhere in the country, protesters blocked border crossings in several provinces, but those demonstrations were disbanded before the crackdown in Ottawa.
