Three people are in hospital following a shooting at a residence in a suburban Nova Scotia community.

RCMP said shots were fired after four males forced themselves into a home in Cole Harbour Sunday evening.

Police said they received a call from inside the house around 7 p.m.

Three people were taken to hospital in Halifax, and two are serious condition, police said.

Nova Scotia RCMP said late Sunday that two men had been taken into custody around 10 p.m., but the investigation was ongoing.

RCMP didn’t say if any gunmen are still at large.

Roads in the vicinity of the shooting were closed off, and police are asking the public to stay off away from the neighbourhood.
