Two youths face charges after allegedly fleeing from Calgary police on electronic dirt bikes. Just before 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to reports of three people doing stunts on dirt bikes in the community of Coach Hill. Officers tried to stop the three riders, but say they fled. A HAWCS helicopter was able to track the fleeing dirt bikers from overhead as they allegedly drove dangerously through residential neighbourhoods. Police ultimately found two of them and arrested them. Both face charges of dangerous operation of a vehicle and flight from police. Electric dirt bikes can’t be legally operated on public roads, sidewalks, pathways or parks. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234.
