Victim of fatal stabbing identified as teen girl; hunt for suspect continues

Calgary police have identified a 16-year-old girl as the victim of a deadly assault in the city’s southwest.

Angeline Boucher died at the scene in the 2100 block of Woodview Drive S.W.

Police say officers were sent there around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to check out reports of a stabbing.

Police believe Boucher and an unknown person were involved in an altercation nearby at 24th Street and Woodview Drive S.W.

Sixteen-year-old Boucher was identified by police on Thursday after an autopsy was conducted.

This investigation is ongoing.

No one’s currently in custody.

Investigators believe the incident was targeted and that the weapon was ditched in the area.
