These 6 Calgary bars made a list of Canada’s 100 best

Six Calgary locations are among those featured on a new list of Canada’s 100 Best Bars for 2025.

The list, released on Thursday, was generated by a panel of judges across the country, and is said to reflect the diversity of the country’s thriving bar scene.

The judges rank their five best in-person bar experiences over the past 16 months – at least one of which has to be outside of their home province or region.

Judges aren’t allowed to vote for a bar in which they have a personal or financial interest.

Canada’s 100 Best website says the list features everything from swanky cocktail lounges and wine bars to cheerful public houses.

The Calgary spots featured on the 2025 list include:

• Missy’s This That at Number 8;
• Proof at Number 16;
• Paper Lantern at Number 24;
• Rain Dog Bar at Number 35;
• Shelter Cocktail Bar at Number 45, and,
• Business & Pleasure at Number 46.

Edmonton only has one bar featured on the list: Honi Honi at Number 28.
