Police in Lethbridge, Alta., have a suspect in custody after a morning incident that forced the lockdown of several Lethbridge schools. Earlier Friday morning, police received reports of a young male with a knife in the 500 block of 18 Street South, that prompted a lockdown for schools in that area. Police responded to the east campus of Catholic Central High School after someone spotted a suspicious male in the cafeteria who appeared to have a knife. The person left the school and was last seen walking north toward St. Francis Junior High. Shortly before 1 p.m., Lethbridge police posted an update, saying that a suspect has been taken into custody and the public may resume use of the area.
