Sexual assault charge laid against Calgary massage therapist

Calgary police have charged a massage therapist in connection with an alleged incident involving a client. The case remains before the courts.

A Calgary massage therapist has been charged with sexual assault.

According to police, the charge stems from “an incident involving a client” almost a year ago.

It’s alleged that in August 2025, the massage therapist touched a client “in a sexual manner without consent” during an appointment.

Charged is 52-year-old Yuriy Zhivov.

The business where the incident is alleged to have occurred is Kinesio Massage Therapy at 3949 17th Ave. S.W.

Zhivov is scheduled to next appear in court Sept. 16.

Meanwhile, the investigation continues.
