Calgarians won’t have to dance by themselves during Roundup MusicFest this year. Headliners for the two-day event include Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Billy Idol, rock icon David Lee Roth and Grammy-nominated indie-pop band Foster the People. “Having celebrated our 25th anniversary last year, the Roundup MusicFest has built a legacy as one of Calgary’s premier outdoor music festivals,” said Sarah Geddes, Roundup MusicFest communications director, in a news release. Other artists set to take the stage include Sloan, Toque, Grouplove and The Royal Foundry. The outdoor concert will take place at Prince’s Island Park on July 8 and 9. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster and on the festival’s website starting at 10 a.m. on Friday. Concert-goers can also attend a free afterparty at Wildhorse Saloon.
