Public engagement underway for large new development in Hillhurst area

Public engagement got underway for a proposed new development on the site of the old Grace Hospital in Hillhurst.

Public engagement got underway Wednesday night for a proposed new mixed-use development in Hillhurst.

The proposed new development, known as Kensington Yards Urban Village, would be located at the former Grace Hospital site by 14th Street N.W. and 8th Avenue N.W.

It would include at least a dozen buildings from townhomes, high rise apartments, commercial space and a village square located at the heart of the site.

Calgarians were able to offer feedback.

The firms behind the proposal have submitted a land use redesignation for three parcels of land.
