Police in Calgary have seized more than $1.2 million in drugs and another $1 million in cash from a house in the community of Skyview Ranch. Members of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) searched the home on July 30, with help from Calgary police and RCMP. “At over $1 million, the cash seizure is believed to be the largest amount of cash seized in a single instance by ALERT,” police said. “Investigators are still in the process of counting and analyzing the funds.” The drugs seized include: Two other homes – located in Harvest Hills and Rocky Ridge – were also searched, and two vehicles. Two people are facing charges. Kerry Lu, 36, is charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and possession of a prohibited weapon. Donald Ng, 51, is charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and possession of a prohibited weapon.
