Lethbridge’s Pickle Point Centre moving toward conversion to premium pickleball club

A pickleball facility in Lethbridge might soon become Alberta’s first premium indoor pickleball club.

TPC Development (The Picklr Canada) and Pickle Point Centre announced Monday they’ve “entered into an agreement to collaborate on the potential conversion” of the facility into a premium club.

TPC said in a news release issued Monday it will identify and engage investors.

Adriana Mercader, Pickle Point Centre founder and CEO, expressed excitement for the project.

“It will allow us to build on the strong foundation we’ve already created at Pickle Point and strategically take it to the next level,” Mercader said.

“We feel very confident in the direction we are headed.

“We want to keep building a competitive and sustainable future while staying 100 per cent committed to our Lethbridge roots.”

Rob Lloyd, Picklr Canada president, applauded Mercader’s and Pickle Point Centre’s success in Year 1.

“She has built a highly popular and well-run eight-court club that clearly demonstrates the strength of demand in this market,” Lloyd said.

“We’re proud to work alongside her to explore the next phase of growth and bring The Picklr’s premium indoor club experience to southern Alberta.”

Pickle Point is the largest facility in southern Alberta, with a roster of 3,000 players.

TPC currently has 68 pickleball clubs in the U.S. and Canada.
