It was another day with police presence at a number of Lethbridge schools after the LPS received multiple reports of threatening messages sent to students through social media. There was no actual lockdown, but officers remained on scene until it was confirmed there was no actual threat. This follows several Lethbridge schools going into lockdown again Thursday because of a threat at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. Police say other schools in the area were also locked down as a precaution. Earlier this week, four Lethbridge schools went into lockdown. In that case, a 16-year-old boy was charged after police say they found him with a handgun-style water pistol. Police say their investigation into today’s threats continues.
