Carson Harmer scored two third period goals including the game winner against his former team as the London Knights held off the Saginaw Spirit 5-3 Friday at Canada Life Place. Tied at two apiece in the third period, Harmer scored his sixth goal of the season to put the Knights ahead, but after the Spirit tied the game again at three, Harmer scored the eventual winner at 17:25. Back on Sept. 13, the Knights acquired Harmer to be a two-way center but had to give up Brady Wassilyn in exchange.Wassilyn has become the Ontario Hockey League’s leading scorer with 27 points, including his 13th goal of the season Friday and adding an assist. Ryan Brown and Evan Van Gorp also scored for the Knights with Cohen Bidgood icing the contest with an empty net goal. The Knights remain four points behind the Midwest Division leading Guelph Storm who have won five in a row. London will head to Sarnia Sunday night for a matinee before hosting the Storm in a rare Wednesday night game.
