The small wildfire burning near Moose Meadows in Banff National Park has bee classified as being held. In a Facebook post Sunday, Banff National Park says it means the blaze is not likely to spread beyond its current size of two hectares. It also means neither the Town of Banff nor the community of Lake Louise are at risk. Over the next few days, Parks Canada crews will work to put the fire out which may result in visible smoke from the Trans-Canada and 1A highways. The fire was reported Saturday. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
