Donations to the Calgary Humane Society’s community spay and neuter program will now go even further than before thanks to a partnership with Petsecure. The Canadian pet health insurance company is matching donations to the program up to $10,000, doubling the impact. The program helps reduce financial barriers associated with having pets spayed or neutered for families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it. “With a continued high volume of requests from people in the community, support for the program is needed now more than ever,” the Calgary Humane Society said. “Spaying and neutering are among the most effective ways to prevent unwanted litters and reduce pet overpopulation.” Sally Johnston with the Calgary Humane Society says every donation helps them meet the demand. “This is an opportunity for Calgarians to double their impact and help more animals and families access the care they need.” To learn more about the program or to donate, you can visit the Calgary Humane Society’s website.
