Contained fire closes Central Library in downtown Calgary

A “contained fire” forced the temporary closure of the Central Library on Friday afternoon.

Calgary police posted the statement just after 1 p.m., saying they were on scene. “At this time, there is no risk to the public and the library will be closed until further notice.”
