Rain fell over southern Alberta overnight and early Tuesday before tapering off during the morning commute. Scattered showers will return by the evening, with the bulk of precipitation concentrated south of the TransCanada Highway and along the Highway 3 corridor. Cooler air will continue to dominate on Tuesday with daytime highs expected to rise only a few degrees above the overnight low in the Calgary area. By Wednesday, a pattern shift will introduce more consistently stable weather conditions, including little to no-cloud cover, mild west wind and daytime highs in the high teens to low-20s. By Thursday, the daytime high in Calgary will reach 21 C — 11-degrees warmer than Tuesday’s high. By Sunday, the temperatures will peak in the mid-20s compared to the seasonal average of 17 C. After Tuesday, there should be at least a week of dry conditions across the region, with no threat of active weather.
