The Ottawa Police Service says a 42-year-old man is facing charges following allegations of sexual assault involving two patients while he was employed as a licensed physiotherapist. Police say Bharat Sekhri was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault. According to the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, Sekhri’s charges were reported on July 4, 2026. The Ottawa Police Service told CTV News Ottawa the first charge was laid on July 4, and the second was laid Sept. 15 and that the alleged offences occurred between March and May 2026. His most recent employment was listed as Pro Physio & Sports Medicine Centres Pro Plus on Strandherd Drive. According to the college, he worked there between April 1, 2023, and July 16, 2026. The charges have not been proven in court.
