Calgary police ask for public help to identify driver in collision with pedestrian

Calgary police are asking for public assistance to identify the driver in an incident that took place in early December.

Police say that on Dec. 2 around 5:27 p.m., a woman and her six-year-old entered a marked crosswalk at the intersection of McDougall Road and Ninth Street N.E. where they were struck by someone driving a Chevrolet Equinox.

The driver stopped and helped the pedestrians but they didn’t exchange numbers.

The mother and daughter both suffered minor injuries.

Witnesses described the driver as a man between 40 and 50 years old, with a dark complexion. The vehicle was described as a silver or light-coloured 2009 to 2017 model Chevrolet Equinox.
