Several Calgarians enjoyed a charitable event at a barbershop on the weekend. The South Trail Crossing Barbershop held its Cuts for a Cause event on Sunday afternoon. Activities included a golf simulator, food and drinks, face painting and a silent auction. A portion of all haircut and product sales is going to HomeFront, a local organization that helps individuals and families break the cycle of domestic violence, with a coordinated community response. “We’ve had an incredible amount of support from our community over the years, particularly going through COVID and all the shutdowns and stuff like that,” said South Trail Crossing Barbershop General Manager, Billy Rahman. “For us to be able to give back to organizations like this is of paramount importance,” he said. HomeFront appreciates the support as well. “Seeing the community coming together to support victims of domestic violence, we are creating awareness and raising funds to make sure that we are here for victims when they need us the most,” said Ginna Caraballo with HomeFront. Several other local businesses partnered with the South Trail Crossing Barbershop to make the event happen.
