Calgary band Thomas Thomas perform their song on #1 Netflix show ‘My Life With the Walter Boys’

Calgary band Thomas Thomas recently made their debut on the Netflix series My Life With the Walter Boys, singing their song Right Place Wrong Time.

A Calgary band just made their debut on the smash hit Netflix series My Life With the Walter Boys, where they performed their song Right Place Wrong Time.

Thomas Thomas had already had success with the tune, which was featured as part of a Starbucks summer ad campaignk, but they landed on My Life With the Walter Boys, which is shot in the Calgary area, at a moment when the show is the #1 show on the global streamer.

The band is a blend of sincere singer-songwriter Shannon Thomas and indie rocker Thomas Englund, with a “sparkly rock ensemble” added in to create “swooning and nostalgic songs worthy of the swankiest high school prom,” according to their media kit.

“The opportunity sounded too good to be true when it first landed in our inbox—but it was real,” says Shannon.

“We are incredibly grateful to be a part of My Life With the Walter Boys,” added Englund.

While it was originally released in 2021, Thomas Thomas have given the song a makeover.

To celebrate performing it on the #1 show on Netflix worldwide, they are re-releasing Right Place Wrong Time Sept.12 with two different versions: an acoustic version with vocals from Shannon Thomas, Victoria King and Krystle McGrath and a high-energy remix by Calgary producer Dempsey Bolton.

Fans can catch the band live Sept. 13 at a Right Place Wrong Time (Deluxe) release party, where they’ll be joined by Dempsey Bolton and Cotton & String.
