Calgary police have arrested two men and three women for allegedly attempting to defraud a southeast casino. Officials said Monday that between Oct. 31 and Nov. 19, two casino employees issued unearned winnings to three patrons of the casino on several occasions. Police were called to the location after the theft and fraud were discovered by casino management staff, who conducted their own investigation before calling police. Officials say the suspects participated in various card games at the casino. The accused, between 48 and 57 years old, are each charged with fraud over $5,000. A 48-year-old woman and a 57-year-old woman are also each charged with criminal breach of trust. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.
