Investigation is underway by Canmore RCMP after a drowning Saturday evening at Quarry Lake in Canmore. Police say witnesses reported seeing a man in the water without a life jacket who disappeared under the water around 5:30 p.m. and didn’t resurface despite the efforts of a number of people who tried to find him. Canmore RCMP, along with Alberta Conservation Officers, and Canmore Fire and Emergency Services were able to recover the body of a 33-year-old resident of Rocky View County, Alta. The man was pronounced dead on scene. RCMP offer its condolences to family, friends and the community.
