23rd annual Siksika Health Fair set for Thursday at Deerfoot Sportsplex

Siksika Health Services will host its annual health fair on the southern Alberta First Nation Thursday.

The 23rd Siksika Health Fair will take place at the Deerfoot Sportsplex from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to the Nation, the event “reflects a shared commitment to holistic health and well-being, rooted in Siksika values.”

In a release issued Wednesday, the Nation said the event “brings together Siksika Nation community members, health teams, partner organizations and local artists for a full day of connection, education and wellness.”

Thursday’s fair will begin with opening ceremonies including Siksika drummers and dancers.

Attendees will then have access to program and service booths, as well as interactive wellness stations and presentations on the main stage.

The day will also feature live music performed by local youth, as well as food and door prizes.

The Siksika Health Services website describes the health fair as its premiere event for community members.
