A fire in the northeast community of Coventry Hills has destroyed two homes. The fire started around 4:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon prompting numerous calls to 911. “Crews arrived and found significant flame coming from the source unit that had already spread to the residence next door,” says Battalion Chief Scott Cowan. Everyone got out safely. “The damage is to those two houses; significant damage to the source house with some damage to the house next door as well,” says Cowan. Fire crews will be on scene for several hours watching for hot spots. The investigation into how the fire started is underway.
