Chinatown Lantern Festival

• What: The 2025 Chinatown Lantern Festival features a magical lantern displays, local vendors and food trucks.
• When: Friday, Sept. 12 from 2 to 11 p.m.
• Where: Chinatown, Second Avenue S.W. & Daqing Square.

Barn Burner

• What: Big Rock Brewery celebrates its 40th anniversary with a special edition Barn Burner. The concert series has been held since 2017, and this year features Matt Mays, among others.
• When: Saturday, Sept. 13 starting at 4 p.m.
• Where: Big Rock Brewery, 5555 76 Ave. S.E.

Keith Urban

• What: Keith Urban performs in Calgary as part of his High and Alive world tour.
• When: Friday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Aqua

• What: Barbie Girl hitmakers Aqua perform at the Grey Eagle.
• When: Friday, Sept. 12, 2025

Wild vs. Roses

• What: The Calgary Wild FC take on the Montreal Roses FC.
• When: Saturday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m.

Cavalry vs. Wanderers

• What: Calgary’s Cavalry FC take on the Halifax Wanderers in Canadian Premier League action.
• When: Saturday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m.

Halloweekends at Calaway Park

• What: Dress up in a costume and head to Calaway Park for Halloweekends, featuring a family friendly display of Halloween-themed scenes through the south side of the park.
• When: From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays until Oct. 14,

Once Upon a Time (A Thousand Tales)

• What: Alberta Ballet presents Once Upon a Time (A Thousand Tales), a show that stiches together several childhood classics into one enchanting journey.
• When: Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 13 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
• Where: Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, 1415 14 Ave. N.W.

Echo by Cirque du Soleil

• What: Watch Cirque du Soleil perform Echo, a family friendly show that melds poetry, stagecraft, technology and acrobatics.
• When: Until Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025.
• Where: Under the big top in Lot 6 at Stampede Park, 650 25 Ave. S.E.

Made in Italy

• What: Made in Italy, performed by Farren Timoteo and directed by Daryl Cloran, returns to Calgary after a sold-out run in 2023. Timoteo brings more than 25 characters to life in the comedy about family, tradition and food.
• When: Until Sept. 21, 2025.
• Where: Martha Cohen Theatre, 215 Eighth Ave. S.E.
