TORONTO -- Cineplex Entertainment is buying a Florida-based company that provides coin-operated rides, games and vending equipment.

The Toronto-based company, which has Canada's largest network of movie theatres, says the purchase of Pensacola-based SAW LLC is expected to close in December.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

SAW would become part of Player One Amusement Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cineplex.

The purchase would follow the recently completed acquisition of New Jersey-based Tricorp Amusements, which provides interactive video and gaming services throughout the U.S.

Player One Amusement Group, headquartered in Toronto, employs more than 450 people in 21 offices throughout Canada and the U.S.

In addition to theatres, Player One's market includes bowling alleys, restaurants, arcades, shopping centres and water parks.

SAW was founded as Sunshine Companies in 1974. It operates across 13 states in the southeastern U.S. and in addition to amusements, it sells bulk-vending equipment to big-box retailers, shopping centres and restaurants.
