Two seniors found safe after police appeal for help locating them

Provincial police say two seniors thought to be missing after indicating they were going for a short road trip Sunday evening have been found safe.

Ontario police issued an appeal for help Monday morning after the pair, ages 74 and 80, planned to head from Apsley to the Dorset or Haliburton area, and police say they hadn’t been heard from.

Several hours after the appeal went public, police confirmed the couple had been located and were safe, though they didn’t provide further details.

“OPP would like to thank everyone who shared the appeal for assistance or provided any information,” the service concluded.
