A couple of spots in Simcoe Muskoka are gaining traction as popular destinations to embrace the winter season.

According to a new report by Airbnb, two cottages in Huntsville are among the most wishlisted stays in Canada.

Both offer classic A-frame structures, an architectural style that is making a modern resurgence.

Magical Treehouse and Muskoka A-Frame + HOT TUB feature warm and cozy vibes with fireplaces and hot tubs on the properties. They are also described on Airbnb as being in accessible locations conducive to any winter activity like skiing, skating, hiking and even snowshoeing where the snowshoes are provided at the Treehouse location.

According to Airbnb, Canadians are interesting in vacationing closer to home with the most wishlisted cabins and chalets on Airbnb in Ontario followed by Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia.
