Deadly Highway 10 crash under investigation

OPP is investigating after a collision on Highway 10 claims the life of a 75-year-old man.

Provincial police are investigating after a two-vehicle collision in Orangeville over the weekend claimed the life of one person and left another injured.

Emergency crews rushed to the crash that happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday on Highway 10 between Fourth Avenue and Broadway.

Police say a 75-year-old man from Amaranth Township was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person sustained what police described as minor injuries.

Highway 10 was closed in both directions for several hours for the investigation. It has since reopened.

Investigators are asking witnesses or anyone with dash camera footage of the deadly crash to contact the authorities as they probe the cause of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
