A residence in the Town of Georgina was the target of an early Sunday morning shooting. York Regional Police say the incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. on Larch Lane, near Highway 48 and Cronsberry Road. Officers confirm that both a house and a vehicle were damaged from gunfire, but no one was injured. Investigators with the Firearms Investigations Team now believe the house was the intended target and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. Police are appealing to anyone with surveillance or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the shooting to come forward. No suspect or suspect vehicle information is currently available.
