Two 17-year-olds were allegedly driving impaired on ATVs over the long weekend in the Kawartha Lakes. Police say at around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, they responded to reports of youth riding an ATV on Highway 7A in Bethany, a small community within the Kawartha Lakes. The teens, from Millbrook and Fraserville, have been charged with two counts of impaired driving. Police say the youths were two of five impaired drivers in the region over the long weekend. The accused are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
