OPP investigating serious crash in Oro-Medonte

Orillia OPP are seeking the publics assistance after a serious collision on Horseshoe Valley Road Friday night.

According to OPP the accident happened just after 8:00 p.m. on Horseshoe Valley Road between Line 5 North and 6 Line North when a van and an SUV collided head on.

The driver of the SUV and two children were transferred to hospital and the driver and one child were later transferred to a regional trauma centre with serious injuries. The driver of the van was also transferred to a regional trauma centre with serious injuries. Two additional children were in the van and were treated for minor injuries.

As a result of the collision, Line 5 North and Line 6 North were closed throughout Friday night and into Saturday morning but has since re-opened.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dash cam footage to please contact the OPP or Crimestoppers.
