Police say an act of help turned into serious situation for a teenager in Gravenhurst on Sunday night. The incident occurred in a parking lot near Muskoka Road around 9 p.m. According to provincial police, the teenager was concerned about the wellbeing of a another individual in the area and offered them help when he was met with a threat of violence. The youth was not injured. However, an 58-year-old man from Havelock has been charged with assault with a weapon and being intoxicated in a public place in relation to the incident.
