Library reopens at Lake of Bays Community centre

The library at the Lake of Bays Community Centre in Baysville has reopened, after being previously shut down due to infrastructure work.

The township announced closures on Monday, shutting down its arena and public water taps after a ground issue was identified following recent work done to the facility’s heating and cooling systems.

In a new release, the township says it has bypassed the affected maintenance room in the building, allowing the library to operate while work continues to reopen the rest of the building.

The arena and community centre remain closed, as does a portion of the parking lot while crews work to reopen other parts of the building.
