Provincial police have closed part of a major interchange in Barrie on Saturday due to the impacts of the heavy rainfall. In a 12:41 p.m. social media post, the OPP stated that the Highway 400 onramp from Essa Road northbound has been closed due to flooding. When CTV News arrived in the area, nearly knee-high water levels were observed on the 270-degree ramp, and highway safety crews working in the area. The area reopened as of Sunday.
