Some people are born with a green thumb, others have to learn it. Thatβs where Stayner Collegiate Institute comes in. The Stayner high school is hosting its annual spring plant sale on Saturday. through the schoolβs Green Industries program, students learn how to grow and manage a garden. Green Industries programs are one of the 10 areas of technological education in the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB). This year, students have cultivated a selection of annuals, perennials, house plans, and vegetables. The sale is cash-only and runs from 9 a.m. to noon at Stayner Collegiate is located at 7578 Highway 26 in Stayner (20 minutes north of Barrie).
