When will the power be turned on? According to area utility companies, crews are hard at work to get the lights back on to thousands. Here is the latest information as it becomes available. INNPOWER Power was restored to 225 customers on the south side of Lockhart Road in Sandy Cove and expected to be restored to remaining customers overnight. The lights are back on in the Bear Creek and south Barrie areas Tuesday. The company says roughly 2,066 customers remain in the dark. ALECTRA The outage in Barrie is still affecting around 260 homes and businesses. Crews are working to restore power. No timeline was provided. ELEXION ENERGY Most Gravenhurst urban customers can expect to have power restored by the end of the day – full restoration by Friday. Rural customers can hope for restoration by Friday and island customers might see repairs Friday and into next week. Brock Township’s connection is waiting on reconnection from a loss of supply from Hydro One. And power could be restored in Cannington by the end of day Tuesday. NT POWER Crews are still working to restore power to the Midland, Port McNicoll, Victoria Harbour and Waubaushene areas. It estimates Tuesday night for some residents and longer delays for the hardest hit areas, with around 1,700 customers still in the dark. LAKELAND POWER Bracebridge has multiple widespread outages affecting roughly 1,000 homes and businesses. Crews are continuing to clear away safety concerns and restore power as they go. For some, the power should be back on this afternoon, while others could remain in the dark into Wednesday. Hydro One Hydro One has restored power to nearly 532,000 customers so far, but it expects hardest hit regions in and around Orillia, Peterborough, Fenelon Falls and Penetanguishene will be restored by end of the week.
