A Caledon resident is facing charges after Canada Border Services Agency officers discovered multiple fraudulent passports. The investigation began after a 1,600 kilogram shipment arriving from Nigeria was flagged at Toronto Pearson International Airport Cargo Operations. During the search, seven fake documents were found, concealed inside pairs of sandals. Five passports from the Republic of Gambia and two from South Africa, all featuring the same photo of a man, but with different names and details were seized. Nnenna Oketa, 44, has been charged with possession of a forged passport under the Criminal Code. The charges have not yet been tested in court.
