A major investigation into illegal workers in western Canada has led to serious consequences for a Barrie man. The RCMP say Kevin Kielty is the owner of a labour agency called One Team and has been fined $70,000, sentenced to two years probation and 50 hours of community service. This comes following a Canada Border Services Agency and RCMP investigation that found dozens of foreign nationals from Mexico working illegally in Banff and Jasper brought in from Ontario. Officials say this is Kielty’s second conviction under immigration law. He was previously sentenced to an 18-month conditional sentence and house arrest.
