A stolen vehicle has been recovered after officers weren’t fooled by the 3D-printed licence plates affixed to it. Members of the Caledon OPP have charged three Brampton residents following an investigation into an obstructed licence plate over the weekend. On April 11 around 2:40 a.m. officers on patrol in the area of Mayfield Road and Coleraine Drive conducted a traffic stop after spotting a vehicle with a black plastic cover over the plate. A further investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen, and the two licence plates attached to it were fraudulent and did not belong to the vehicle. Three people were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and are scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville.
