Three women have serious injuries following a crash in Barrie Saturday afternoon. The County of Simcoe Paramedic Services says three women went to the hospital after being involved in a crash in the area of Dunlop Street West and Highway 27. Officials say Ornge landed but the women ended up getting transferred to the hospital by ambulance. Barrie Fire told CTV News it had two firetrucks on scene and two of the women needed to be extricated from the vehicles. Police say the call came in at around 11 a.m. The intersection and area around Dunlop Street West and Highway 27 was closed to traffic for several hours while police were on scene for the investigation. The intersection was reopened shortly after 3 p.m.
