A boat, valued at roughly $100,000, was reported stolen from the Gravenhurst Wharf last weekend and police are now searching for answers. Bracebridge OPP say the black 24-foot 2023 Sea Ray was taken from Dock E sometime between Friday and Sunday. Officers reported that the boat and trailer were later discovered abandoned on Sedore Road, noting that the suspects may have encountered issues while feeling with the trailer. Police note that two suspects were spotted in the area Sunday morning. Investigators also found a second boat at the wharf, a 2023 Dayliner VR5, had been tampered with in what appears to have been another “attempted theft.” OPP is now asking anyone near Steamship Bay Road, North Muldrew Lake Road, James Street and Muskoka Road to check surveillance cameras from July 11 and 12. Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact Bracebridge police.
